This is the first time in the history of the World Equestrian Games (WEG) that the games have taken place outside of Europe. It is an incredible experience and here are a few pictures to show my first few days here! Day 1 of competition began with team reining! The excitement here is contagious—learning tons and meeting new people—it’s a great place to be. Opening Ceremonies were almost 3 hours long—Muhammad Ali, William Shatner, Wynona Judd, and various other celebrities (horse and non-horse) were part of the celebration.
I had the privilege to shoot with my incredibly talented friend Julie Cannon (THRIVE PHOTOGRAPHY-http://thrivephotography.com)—this past weekend, we spent some time in San Diego, where I got to meet this beautiful young family. Their daughter was in LOVE with the camera—they are a beautiful family, both inside and out. Thank you for the fun Julie!!
These are long overdue for being on the blog—Danielle and Tyler are very important people to me! Danielle and I became friends when we were 13 years old. Horses brought us together, but our friendship has kept us strong. We have been through many life experiences together and I am very excited to be a part of hers on August 28, 2010. Her wedding is going to be beautiful and it is set outdoors in the beautiful northwest—Rock Creek Gardens. She is an incredible woman and Tyler and her have a wonderful life ahead of them—congrats to you both and thank you for the opportunity to capture your love for each other. Be blessed my dear friend! Love you!
Ashlie is a wonderful friend who I grew up with, she is now an incredible horse breeder and has her standing stallion, affectionately known as “Buddy” —Buddy trains with the infamous Lindsey Anderson and is coming along incredibly well for being just 3 years old! Thank…s for the great couple days of shooting Ashlie—Lindsey— you are coming with me to all my horse shoots—-the horses LOVE YOU! See you both in Del Mar in November!

A little bit about me—I ride and train at ECI with Michael Cintas (USA Modern Pentathlon Equestrian Coach). I am blessed to ride everyday some of the best horses in the desert. Horses are my outlet—they help me understand life, and I enjoy working and training them to be the best that they are. Thanks for reading, many more updates to come this summer!
